Viaplay Group has announced the appointment of Roger Lodewick as the Senior VP and CEO of Viaplay Netherlands. Lodewick, a former executive at Modern Times Group (MTG), brings his 20 years of experience in the gaming, entertainment, media, and sports industries to lead the Dutch streaming service.
During his tenure at MTG, Lodewick held key positions such as CEO of DreamHack Sports Games and co-CEO of DreamHack. His successful track record and expertise in the esports and gaming sectors make him well-suited to drive the growth and innovation of Viaplay in the Netherlands.
As the new CEO, Lodewick will be responsible for the commercial and operational aspects of Viaplay’s streaming service in the Netherlands. He will report to Peter Nørrelund, Viaplay Group’s Executive VP and Chief Sports and Business Development Officer.
Nørrelund expressed his confidence in Lodewick’s ability to elevate the Dutch business of Viaplay, stating, “Roger brings the proven commercial, operational, and strategic know-how to take our Dutch business to the next level.
